HomeShield, a brand belonging to the company Mutual Feelings, Lda, headquartered at Rua Vasco da Gama 4A, 2130-197 Benavente | Portugal, NIPC 515.779.873, respects the privacy of all its customers, users and visitors to the website www.homeshield.pt.

This Privacy Policy clearly explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable legislation in Portugal.

3. What personal data do we collect?

HomeShield only collects the data strictly necessary for the provision of the service, namely:

  • Identification information: name, CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), address, telephone number and email;
  • Property details: location, type and characteristics of the property;
  • Access data (when applicable): number of keys delivered, gate/alarm codes;
  • Technical data: photographs, GPS coordinates and observations collected during the visits;
  • Billing information: information for issuing invoices and receipts.

No sensitive data (such as religion, health, political opinions, etc.) is collected, nor are automated decisions made based on user data.


4. Purpose of data processing

The personal data collected is used exclusively for:

  • Execution of the HomeShield service contract (scheduling and conducting visits, preparing and sending technical reports);
  • Administrative and accounting management (issuing invoices, receipts and vouchers);
  • Communication with the client (sending reports, alerts or relevant information about the property);
  • Compliance with legal and tax obligations.
  • Any other use, particularly for advertising or marketing purposes, will only be carried out with the explicit consent of the data subject.


5. Legal basis for treatment

HomeShield's processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract execution: data necessary for the provision of the contracted services;
  • Compliance with legal obligation: data required for tax and accounting purposes;
  • Data subject's consent: collection of photographs and GPS coordinates;
  • Legitimate interest: communication with the client within the scope of the existing contractual relationship.


6. Data sharing and transmission

HomeShield does not sell, rent, transfer, or disclose personal data to third parties. Data may only be shared in the following situations:

  • Compliance with legal or judicial obligations (e.g., communication to tax authorities);
  • Outsourcing of services (e.g., form management platform, web hosting, or invoicing system), always ensuring that suppliers comply with the GDPR and keep data secure.

All partners and subcontractors sign confidentiality and data processing agreements.


7. Data preservation

Personal data will be kept only for the time necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

  • Contractual and tax information: 10 years (legal term);
  • Photographs and GPS coordinates: up to 12 months after the end of the contract, unless an early deletion is requested;
  • Marketing contacts (if consented to): until consent is revoked.

After these periods, the data will be securely and permanently deleted.


8. Data subject rights

Under the GDPR, the data subject has the right to:

  • Access: knowing what data is processed and for what purpose;
  • Correction: to correct incorrect or outdated data;
  • Deletion (“right to be forgotten”): request the deletion of data, when legally applicable;

  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel only;
  • Servers and databases protected by encryption and authentication;
  • Regular backups and digital access control.
